We have built up proprietary technologies through machining tool production. With application of these technologies to the production of automobiles, we are expanding our business areas.
Our active involvement in the automobile components business began in 1985 with the manufacture of automatic transmission oil pumps. In 2002, we began production of CVT oil pumps. In 2011, we also started production of fuel rails. Higashi-Hiroshima plant was completed as the main production base of oil pumps for AT, fuel rails, etc., in 2012. Local subsidiary for producing oil pumps was established in Thailand in 2013.
In the years ahead we will continue to refine our existing technologies while developing superior new technologies, expanding into a wide range of fields with oil pumps as our core business.

History of Toyo Oil Pumps
We have produced 20 million units in total.
We mainly produce oil pumps for automatic transmissions, which are required to provide high levels of accuracy. Besides them, we produce pumps for continuously variable transmissions (CVTs). Based on our advanced technologies for developing manufacturing equipment in the machine tool field, we have built high-quality, stable production lines. This has resulted in more than 20 million shipments of pumps in total.

We have been cultivating design techniques and conducting basic research through the development of mass production technologies over the years. In addition, through assessment tests, we have acquired techniques and obtained data, which we analyze using latest analysis tools to quickly develop and design high-quality components. We also conduct basic experiments and durability assessment tests to develop and provide reliable products. We have established a system to meet market needs, for example, by making improvements to existing pumps, developing vane pumps, motorizing pumps, and developing new automobile components.
