Cumulative production of gear oil pumps hits 15 million mark
On December 4, 2009, Toyo Advanced Technologies Co.,Ltd. (Head Office: Minami-ku, Hiroshima City; President: Yasuto Tatsuta) hit the 15 million mark in its cumulative production of gear oil pumps. This achievement comes some 25 years after Toyo started out in the auto parts business with automatic transmission oil pumps for Mazda Motor Corporation. After the 10 million mark was hit in June 2005, the next five million units were produced in just four and a half years. Each month, Toyo produces 100,000 to 120,000 FWD vehicle oil pumps, in a total of five types: three types for automatic transmission vehicles (4-, 5- and 6-speed) and two types for CVT vehicles (small and large size), all destined for Mazda and Jatco (a Nissan-related gear manufacturer).
