Toyo Employees Donate to Taiwan

The employees of Toyo Advanced Technologies Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of machine tools, will contribute to the Red Cross of Japan as a part of relief activities to earthquake-stricken region of Taiwan. The money was collected through voluntary fund raising by employees.
The company's three engineers were in Taiwan on business trip when the big earthquake hit the region. Returning safely back to Japan, they called for fund raising with their life-or-death experience in Taiwan.
Toyo began export to Taiwan back in 1965. Taiwan, the third largest overseas market for the company after Korea and China, has purchased cumulative total of about 270 units of Toyo machine tools.
Taiwan is becoming an increasingly important market for Toyo as the demand for its wire saws and slicing machines used in the semi conductor industry increases.
